We faced challenging weather for Katie’s Denver senior portraits! The week leading up to Katie’s session, there was rain in the forecast on her session date. I reached out to Katie and her mom to see if we could move the session to a different day to try to avoid the rain. Not only did we move the date, but we also met for a sunrise session instead of a sunset session to try to work around the forecast! Despite our best efforts, we still needed umbrellas for Katie’s session. But Katie was a good sport and persevered! And she looked incredible while doing it.
Katie’s mom was the ideal hype woman. She was ready to help Katie change outfits, fix hair and makeup, and hold her umbrella between shots. Katie’s dog, Floyd, has been a member of her family since she was five years old. I had the honor of recreating some special photos that Katie and Floyd had taken together when Katie was a small child and Floyd was just a puppy!
Katie is working toward her esthetician’s license and is a hair and makeup genius! She hopes to run her own salon one day and I have no doubt that she’ll succeed.
