Ella’s Denver Botanic Gardens senior session was a dream! Ella is a powerhouse ballerina, and she wanted to wear her pointe shoes in some of her senior photos. I love how ALL of the photos from Ella’s senior portrait session turned out, but I think most of my favorites include her pointe shoes!
When planning for an outdoor portrait session, I typically recommend meeting one to two hours before sunset to take advantage of the warm, golden-hour light. But sometimes that’s just not possible. Ella wanted to take her senior portraits in late September, and at that time, the Denver Botanic Gardens began their limited hours and weren’t open late enough for a golden-hour session. But, if a golden-hour session doesn’t work for you, then the Denver Botanic Gardens is a great location! There are plenty of shaded areas to diffuse harsh light and it’s so versatile.
The light and location were incredible, but both paled in comparison to Ella. She was positively radiant during her session. Ella is a dedicated and passionate young woman. I remember how busy high school was. There’s plenty of homework to do, and when you add extracurriculars and a social life, every minute is accounted for! Ella’s dance schedule keeps her busy, but she’s spending a significant amount of time doing something that she loves! And on top of all that, she holds down a job! Ella is driven, she’s chasing her dreams, and she’s going places!
