I couldn’t have asked for better weather for Kasey’s senior photos in Morrison, Colorado. If you’re not familiar with the town of Morrison, that’s where you’ll find Red Rocks Amphitheater! Morrison isn’t too far from Denver and boasts gorgeous views of the foothills. You’ll find local restaurants and shops on the main street and Dinosaur Ridge is just a short drive away if you’re looking for a fun tourist attraction!
As a Denver portrait and family photographer, I encounter a range of weather scenarios during my sessions. Fortunately for Kasey, the golden-hour light was soft and warm and there wasn’t a cloud in the sky threatening rain! And if that wasn’t enough, the cherry on top was meeting Kasey and her parents. They are such wonderful and kind people, and I thoroughly enjoyed my time with them.
During my portrait sessions, I will always guide you through posing, so there’s no need to worry about what to do in front of the camera. Sometimes posing can feel awkward in the moment, but it looks great on camera. When I have an idea for a pose that’s a little “out there”, I love showing my clients the back of the camera so they can see the result! I love seeing their faces light up and building their confidence. Kasey was great about trusting the process and she reaped the benefits!
Kasey enjoys running cross country and track. Both of those keep her busy on top of her schoolwork! Kasey is college-bound after graduation in the spring, and she has a bright and vibrant future ahead of her. Kasey’s mom introduced me to one of Kasey’s friends and I also had the pleasure of taking Lily’s senior photos in Morrison. You can find Lily’s senior session here.
