Senior Portraits at the Denver Botanic Gardens

When a client reaches out to take senior portraits at the Denver Botanic Gardens, I’m ALWAYS thrilled (especially when it’s a returning client I love working with)! The Denver Botanic Gardens is one of my favorite locations. It’s versatile and beautiful, and if you’ve seen more of my work, you know I love to layer with florals! The Denver Botanic Gardens can be a busy location, but there are certain times of the day when it can be a bit slower. I’ve done multiple senior portrait sessions at the Denver Botanic Gardens, and even at its busiest, I have never had trouble working around other guests, so don’t let the busyness of the location deter you!

My favorite time to shoot at the Denver Botanic Gardens is during golden hour, but there are plenty of shaded areas in the gardens that provide gorgeous light throughout the day. Many couples choose to get married at the Denver Botanic Gardens, plus it’s a great space for other private events. So, it’s always important to check on event closures when scheduling your session there (I handle that for you!). One perk of a morning session at the Denver Botanic Gardens is that there are typically fewer event closures at that time!

During Maryn’s senior portrait session at the Denver Botanic Gardens, we had to work around several event closures. But, it was worth it because shooting on that date meant that her older sister, Aidyn, could be there! I also took Aidyn’s senior portraits at Chautauqua Park several years ago, so it was a pleasure to catch up with her and hear about what she’s up to now.

Maryn was a hard-working, talented gymnast. Unfortunately, she had to stop because of a wrist injury. But now, in addition to the schoolwork that’s filling her schedule, she’s competing on the swim team! Maryn is a positive, compassionate, and bright young woman who doesn’t let a challenge bring her down or hold her back. When life gives her lemons, she pivots.

Maryn’s parents, and both of her sisters, have gone to Texas A&M. Maryn will be carrying on the tradition and has been accepted! She’s hoping to be a physical therapist one day and her future patients couldn’t be in better hands. This was my fourth session with the Wyatt family, and I look forward to seeing them every time they’re on my calendar. Enjoy some of my favorites from Maryn’s senior portraits at the Denver Botanic Gardens! To see more from my latest sessions, be sure to follow me on social media and subscribe to my mailing list.
