When I posted Hayden’s senior session at the Denver Botanic Gardens on my social media accounts, Nevaeh saw those photos and loved the vibrant colors from the flowers. Nevaeh knew she wanted something similar, but a little more rustic and I knew of the perfect location for her! Anderson Farms is an incredible session location if you want to take photos in a sunflower field. You can get right up in the flowers, plus they grow other types of flowers in their field as well, not just sunflowers!
The sunflower field at Anderson Farms is usually only open for a little over a month each year. With that timeframe and Nevaeh’s work schedule, we chose to meet for a morning session! I typically recommend meeting closer to golden hour for that dreamy light, but Nevaeh’s late-morning session still worked out beautifully and the sunflower field wasn’t as crowded as it usually is at sunset.
For an extra fee, you can pick sunflowers from the field and take them home, which makes for a very fun session! I loved using the sunflowers she picked in Nevaeh’s photos. Nevaeh’s white dress was the perfect choice for this location, the vibrant colors of the flowers contrasted beautifully with it. Enjoy some of my favorites from Nevaeh’s senior photos in the sunflower field at Anderson Farms!
